We have achieved the object imaged knitwear for the new store of Cruciani at Ginza Tokyu Plaza.
Initially the desinger asked us if we can make this object by the casting of aluminum. We were anxious about weight thing of 1300 parts, joint method of the part, security problem and assembling method on site.
We were consulted by the designer as we are an expert manufacturer of metal related, but made conclusion that we can’t clear above problems with a use of aluminum parts especially weight and assembling problem on site.
Then we gave up aluminum and proposed a part made of styrofoam and the designer approved to use that for this object.
We prepared a molding for this project and made 1300 parts.
There was the Fire Service Act issue, we cleared that by using self-extinguishing foam as material and special painting on it then assembled them on site.
We were very glad to complete this project and achieved ” realization of the space beauty ” for the desinger and the brand owner.(Photo by Nacasa & Partners)
